Accessible Car Sharing to Arrive in Moscow

In 2018, Moscow car sharing operators will provide cars which cater for people with disabilities, reported M24, quoting representatives of Delimobile, BelkaCar and YouDrive

Delimobile announced that a car for people with disabilities will be created based on the Hyundai Solaris. The vehicles will be fully equipped for needs of most disabled users. Delimobile plans to add ten of these cars to its fleet by 2018.

BelkaCar and YouDrive also announced their intention to add vehicles for the disabled to their fleet. They are assessing demand and preparing to test these cars.

In March 2017, the capital's car sharing services announced their intention to add electric cars to their fleets to improve the city's ecology. According to Maxim Liksutov, the head of the Moscow Department of Transportation, car rental companies will purchase up to 10,000 of these cars by 2018.
