|sour cream||100 grams|
|Salt and pepper||to taste|
Take the dumplings out of the freezer to let them thaw. You can also boil them until soft or instead use fresh, homemade dumplings.
Put the butter in a baking dish and melt it in an oven heated to 180-200 degrees Celsius. Put the dumplings in the baking dish and stir so that the butter is evenly distributed.
Bake for 10 minutes, stir again and add 100 millilitres of hot water and bake for another 10 minutes. While they bake, prepare the sauce by mixing the sour cream with the mayonnaise, grated cheese, finely chopped onion (you can sauté them a bit if you’d like), pepper and salt, and mix it well. You can add garlic instead of onion to the sauce.
Pour the sauce over the dumplings and bake them for another 20 minutes. Serve hot.
