The performance will premiere on Apr. 4 as part of the Mariinsky International Ballet Festival

Theatre producer Sergey Danilyan, who is called “the main non-state supplier of candidates for the ‘Golden Mask,’” will stage the production. Igor Chapurin, the designer known for his clothing made for Lyudmila Putina and Svetlana Medvedeva, created the costumes. The production will also feature the Children’s Choir of Radio and Television.

On May 5 and 6, the ballet will be staged at the Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Academic Music Theatre in Moscow, and then in California at the Segerstrom Centre in October.

Daft Punk is a French electronic duo known for their albums as well as their collaborations with rapper Kanye West and Canadian artist The Weeknd. They have received six Grammy Awards, four of them for “Random Access Memories.”
