The Skolkovo Foundation will bring 50 companies to Slush, the largest technology show in Northern Europe, uniting entrepreneurs, investors and CEOs of large corporations, Lenta.ru. reported with reference to the Foundation’s press service.
Slush 2016 will be held from Nov. 30 and Dec. 1 in Helsinki, Tokyo and Beijing.
Three Skolkovo startups – Marvelmind Robotics (Slush Shanghai 2016 winner), Aeroxo and Navigine – will participate in the main competition of the conference this year. They passed qualification with a large amount of competitors and will now battle it out in the pitch sessions among 100 of the most prominent projects for the opportunity to meet with well-known European venture investors and the main prize of €650,000.
The Skolkovo booth will present 50 projects, including 3D-Bioprinting Solutions (the first Russian 3D bioprinter designed to print live functional 3D tissue and organ constructs), Watts Battery (modular power storage system), Zooprotein (nutritional supplement for animals that are high in protein and made from crushed larvae), WiseSoil (a technology that significantly increases the economic efficiency of organic waste recycling), Fibrum (mobile virtual reality helmet and platform), Cinemood (children's portable cinema MULTiKUBIK).
Most of the companies representing Skolkovo at Slush already operate on foreign markets in the banking sector, aviation, clean energy, robotics and other industries.
