The major French retailer Auchan has begun deliveries of chocolate and confectionery products from Russian manufacturers to Italy, according to the retail’s press service. “The first delivery to Italian hypermarkets included over 107,000 units of goods with a total weight of about nine tonnes.
They are available at 66 different Auchan hypermarkets and Simply and Ipersimply supermarkets in 60 cities, including Milan, Verona, Piacenza, Turin and many others,” the press service stated.
It was noted that the first batch of goods for export consisted of chocolate and confectionery products.
“There are 15 kinds of candies and jelly beans under the trademarks Sladky Ostrov (Sweet Island) and Kazhdy Den (Every Day) from five Russian manufacturers,” the press service explained.
It was earlier reported that two Mexican companies began to import Russian chocolate.
In February, Russian Pobeda chocolate manufacturer launched a factory in Latvia.
