Trade turnover between Russia and China increased by 29.3%, reaching $18.1 billion in the first quarter of 2017, the TASS news agency reported Thursday, citing a report by the General Administration of Customs of China.
At the same time, the volume of goods supply from China to Russia rose by 22.4% and amounted to $8.4 billion. Import of Russian products to the People's Republic of China increased by 36.1% or to $9.7 billion.
The total volume of China's foreign trade in the first quarter showed 15% growth and reached almost $900 billion.
According to the Russian Federal Customs Service, in January and February of 2017 Russia has increased goods import from non-CIS countries by 26.1% compared to the same period of last year.
