The Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation is considering Italian automobile company FIAT’s proposal to produce tractors in Russia, according to Fabrizio Cepollina, general manager of farm equipment manufacturer and FIAT Group member CNH Industrial in Russia and Belarus, who spoke at an Italo-Russian business breakfast at the Russian Investment Forum in Sochi.

“Last year, we decided to increase the volume of investments,” Cepollina said. “In June last year, we presented a special investment project to produce tractors at an existing plant...our proposal is now being considered and I think the outcome will be positive.”

Cepollina also noted that his company had recently made another proposal. “There is an additional opportunity for technology exchange, and it concerns the production of innovative engines,” he said.
