Google Translate has started to use neural machine translation when translating from Russian, the company’s blog said.

Neural machine translation uses deep neural networks to translate entire sentences rather than phrases. Google noted that the technology should improve the quality of translations.

"Translation using neural networks is much better than our previous technologies,” Google wrote. “This way, we translate an entire sentence at a time rather than separate pieces of a sentence. This allows us to make more accurate translations that are closer to real speech.”

Google is expecting to use this new technology with other languages as well in the future.
