The highest-reaching lift in Europe is now in use in Moscow City’s Federation Tower, RIA Novosti reported, quoting AEON, the corporation that owns the skyscraper.
The lift reaches a height of 355 metres above the ground and covers a total distance of 365 metres when taking into account the underground floors. The lift capacity is two tonnes and it can reach a speed of eight metres per second.
According to AEON, the opening of the lift coincided with the opening of the southern entrance of the Federation Tower East.
In December, the highest skating rink in Europe opened on the top story of the OKO Tower in Moscow City.
