A resident of Tomino in the Chelyabinsk Region has built a house out of 12,000 champagne bottles, Nastoyashcheye Vremya reported.

Eldar Ilchibaev and his family decided to build the house in honour of his brother, who died in 2007.

They first built a wooden frame and then filled it with bottles.

"The bottles were collected right here in the village,” Ilchibaev said. “We also exchanged them at collection stations for beer and vodka bottles in Chelyabinsk.”
