An ice slide operates daily between Revolution Square and Manezhnaya Square from Dec. 16 to Jan. 15 in the heart of Moscow.
The slide, which is seven metres high and 100 metres long, is part of the “Journey to Christmas” festival.
It took more than 1,600 clear ice blocks from the lakes of Pervouralsk, a city near Yekaterinburg, to build the slide, with each block weighing 120 kilograms. Twelve people are working on the slide’s design and another 40 are involved in its construction.
The slide is decorated with ornaments and carving figures on the sides.
