Wi-Fi will be made available in half of all Russian long-distance trains in 2017, Izvestia reported, quoting the Federal Passenger Company.

Servers and wireless local area networks, or WLAN, with Wi-Fi access points will be installed on the trains.

Users will be redirected while connecting to the networks to a special website on which they can watch movies, listen to music, order food from the restaurant car and get information about their route.

As reported, the price of the service will vary depending on duration of the trip.
