If someone had to name one souvenir that foreigners typically buy in Russia, it would most likely be the matryoshka – a nesting doll. There’s no denying that it’s an extremely popular cultural icon. It’s no surprise then that its unique design served as the source of inspiration for the developers at Fred Studio in their creation of a new kitchen accessory, the M-CUPS.
It was turned from a wooden toy into a measuring device – the nesting dolls are essentially measuring cups, sizes ¼, 1/3, ½, 2/3, ¾ and full cup. This accessory is easy to use and can handle anything from sugar, grains and nuts to oil, water and other liquids. And, of course, it’s easy to use, since all the cups are nested – just like the original matryoshka.
