Passenger Traffic in Moscow Airports Rose by 21% in May

The passenger traffic of three key airports of the Moscow aviation hub (Vnukovo, Domodedovo and Sheremetyevo) increased by 21,3% in May 2017 compared to the same period in 2016 and reached 7,37 million people, the Rambler News Service reported Tuesday, citing Rosaviatsiya.

In May 2017, 3,53 million people were registered on international flights, which is 31,7% more than last year, and 3,83 million people on domestic flights. The passenger traffic of Vnukovo airport in May surged by 35,8% to 1,52 million, Domodedovo – by 19,1% to 2,62 million, Sheremetyevo – by 17.2% to 3,03 million people.

The total volume of cargo transportation in May rose by 38,8% in annual terms and amounted to about 40,240 tons.
