Moscow’s libraries are extending an invitation to all single Muscovites to come and find dates there on Valentine’s Day. More than 20 libraries have prepared various events dedicated to the romantic holiday, according to the official website of the Government of Moscow.
“On Valentine’s Day, we invite Muscovites of all ages to come to our libraries if they want to find a soul mate,” said Vladimir Vladimirov, acting general director of Moscow’s Cultural Centres Directorate. “Moscow’s reading rooms have prepared special events for this holiday.”
Vladimirov said that the city libraries are places where it is possible to spend some quality time and that there are many examples of readers meeting their boyfriend or girlfriend in a library.
The city’s libraries operated by the Moscow Department of Culture will be open from 12 pm to ten pm on Valentine’s Day.
