Free guided tours around the district will be conducted along the Arbat for Muscovites and tourists. This was reported by “Moscow 24” citing the Head of the Arbat Municipal District Evgeny Babenko.

This is a joint project of the district authorities and local history organisation. “We met with our local historians and decided to organise guided tours around the Arbat for Muscovites and guests visiting the capital, including foreign ones. Our goal is to present to them the historical heritage of the Arbat and its architectural monuments. We also want to show how people live here, what their culture is like today,” said Babenko while speaking about the project’s idea.

In addition, the organisers want to hold friendly football matches between the Arbat youth and teams made up of tourists.
