St. Petersburg Church Among World’s Top 10 Cultural Sites

TripAdvisor within a framework of Travelers’ Choice Award named the world’s best cultural sites of 2017. The sixth position went to the Church of the Saviour on Spilled Blood, located in Russia’s St. Petersburg, the service’s official website reported.

The first place was occupied by the Angkor Wat complex in Cambodia, followed by the Sheikh Zayed Mosque in Abu Dhabi (UAE) and Cordoba Cathedral Mosque (Mesquita) in Spain taking third position respectively. The fourth and fifth places were acquired by St. Peter’s Cathedral in Vatican and Taj Mahal complex in India.

The Chinese Great Wall, Machu Picchu of Peru, the Spain's Square in Seville and the Duomo Cathedral in Milan have also made it to the top 10.

This rating was based on the algorithm using the quantity and quality of reviews left on TripAdvisor during the past year.

Last month, the Church of the Saviour on Spilled Blood was named the most popular landmark in Russia.
