The robot assistant Metrosha, who will greet passengers and lift spirits, was introduced today in the Moscow Metro, according to the official website of the Mayor of Moscow.
The press centre of the Moscow Central Circle railway, or MCC, stated that Metrosha had already been tested in the field. In December, the robot greeted passengers with New Year wishes at the Luzhniki station on the MCC.
"The robot did quite well at the transport industry exhibitions,” the press centre reported. “We decided to offer it a regular job.”
Metrosha is currently at the central office of the Moscow Metro at the Prospect Mira station, where it is very popular among employees.
