Russia is currently developing a reconnaissance helicopter-type drone for naval aviation, reports TASS, citing a source in the Russian military industrial complex.

The "unmanned helicopter-type aerial vehicle (UAV), designed for reconnaissance and targeting, will serve the interests of the Russian Navy", the source stated.

The UAV is capable of weapons targeting, adjustment of fire, mapping territory from the air and searching for distressed aircraft and ship crews.

It consists of several drones, control units, automation and transport systems and a maintenance point.

Earlier, it was reported that Russian engineers were ready to test a new helicopter system aimed at radio and electronic jamming.
