Russian entry “The Water of Life” by Igor Krutoy’s Popular Music Academy finished fourth in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, the European Broadcasting Union reported. The winning song Mzeo (the Sun) was performed by ten-year-old Mariam Mamadashvili of Georgia.
Second place was shared by Armenia’s Anahit Adamyan and Mary Vardanyan, with Italian vocalist Fiamma Boccia placing third. The contest took place on Sunday, Nov. 20, in Malta.
The Junior Eurovision Song Contest has been held annually since 2003.
