Tourists Name Russian City with Tastiest Food

Vladivostok in Russia’s Far East region was recognised as the country’s tastiest food city, according to a press release from Booking.com.

Following tourists’ reviews, experts noted that Vladivostok was praised for its fresh seafood and multiple restaurants offering quality meals of Pan-Asian cuisine. The second place went to Suzdal, which is famous for its mead drink – medovukha. Kostroma - home of the best cheese producers in Russia took the 3rd position in the rating.

Pskov and Kaliningrad followed in the 4th and 5th places, respectively. The top-10 also included Sochi, Nizhny Novgorod, Yekaterinburg, Adler and Gelendzhik.

China’s Hong Kong became this year’s world leader in gastronomic tourism, followed by São Paulo (Brazil) and Tokyo (Japan).

Meanwhile, Russian tourists called Moscow the most popular destination of internal gastronomic tourism, according to the data from the TourStat analytical agency.
