Serbia plans to strengthen its armed forces with six Russian MiG-29 fighter jets, Reuters reported, referencing Serbia’s Prime Minister Aleksandar Vučić.
“We expect to receive the aircraft by March,” said Vučić.
He also said that the deal includes a two-year service maintenance period. The final cost of the contract will be known after Serbia’s Prime Minister visits Moscow next week.
In June 2016, Vučić said that Serbia planned to spend about $270 million on four MiG-29 fighter jets.
