A competition of ten chefs from different countries will take place in Moscow within the framework of the International Forum SkyService 2017, dedicated to service in civil aviation, Lenta.ru reported, citing event organizers.
Chefs of the international catering companies who produce onboard meals for airline passengers will be participating in the competition to receive first ever Sky Delight Award 2017.
Among the participants is chef Thomas Münzel of LSG Sky Chefs, catering specialist of Thai Airways International chef Danai Kaewpradub, Ambassador's Sky Chef's sous-chef Raman Koul and other eminent specialists.
During the competition all the participants (cooks and their assistants) will have to prepare a cold snack or salad and a hot dish for both business and economy classes (four dishes in total). Each team will be given 90 minutes to complete the task and provide a simultaneous presentation to the jury within a two minute timeframe.
Meals will be judged according to the taste, rational use of products, the complexity of the dish, overall appearance and possibility of its use onboard the aircraft.
The SkyService 2017 will be held in April 26-27.
