The manufacturer of Tesla electric cars is currently searching for premises in Moscow and St. Petersburg for potential future offices, showrooms and service centres, Kommersant reported earlier today.

According to Kommersant, the company is considering large shopping centres in Moscow and St. Petersburg. The analytical agency Avtostat reported that Tesla is the most popular brand of electric vehicles in Russia, accounting for 47% of sales in this segment, although only 39 electric cars were sold in Russia in 2016.

Tesla Motors is an American automaker that produces electric vehicles. In 2015, it became the top manufacturer of electric cars, having already sold 50,000 cars worldwide. Google founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin, co-founder of PayPal Elon Musk and eBay President Jeffrey Skoll have all invested in Tesla.
