Two Russian Airports Among World’s Best

Moscow's Sheremetyevo and Domodedovo airports were recognised among the world’s best air harbors, experts at AirHelp told Lenta.ru on Tuesday.

Sheremetyevo and Domodedovo took 23rd and 65th places respectively out 76 of best airports. The 1st place was occupied by Singaporean Changi airport, followed by Franz Josef Strauss airport in Munich. The airport of Chinese Hong Kong took the 3rd place.

Rating criteria was based on flight punctuality, passenger service quality and traveller Twitter reviews.

Earlier this year, Changi airport was named the best by the British research company Skytrax. The Top 100 also included 3 Russian airports – Domodedovo, Sheremetyevo and the airport of Kazan, Tatarstan.

The AirHelp service helps to receive compensation for cancellation or departure delay caused by the airlines. It operates on the basis of European legislation in dozens of countries, including Russia.

It was earlier reported that Sochi International Airport and Moscow's Sheremetyevo Airport were among the five best in Europe, according to the ASQ (Airport Service Quality) research programme of the International Council of Airports (ACI).
