The second Moscow Winter Bike Parade will take place on Jan. 8, 2017, to support the development of cycling infrastructure and road safety.
Participants will ride through the central streets of the capital. Their aim is to show that winter isn't an obstacle for the development of bike culture, although establishing a safe cycling environment and street cleaning remain major issues for cyclists.
The parade will begin at 10 am and is expected to end at 4 pm.
The first winter bike parade was held in Moscow on Jan. 9, 2016. An orange danger level was then in effect in the city due to weather conditions, yet 3,000 people still came out for the event.
