Green and Greener: How Moscow Celebrated St. Patrick’s Day

The first green is still far away, but it does not matter: on Mar. 18, the Moscow Sokolniki park turned green earlier than usual, becoming the host for the city’s largest St. Patrick’s Day festival. In all, those who came here to celebrate are to blame: children and adults took advantage of the moment and changed into green to honour the national holiday of Ireland in such a way that even Irish could envy them. And there is no surprise: Russians adore mass gatherings and entertainment, and the clover grows almost everywhere here.
