Riding season in the European part of Russia lasts a little over six months and usually ends on the first weekend of October. During the winter season, lovers of motorcycle rides immerse in nostalgia, which has obtained a special term among the Russian bikers’ slang – “motoxicosis”. It manifests itself in different ways: some write songs or poems, while other yearning fans dress up in moto equipment in the middle of winter and stroll around the city. In order not to miss their “iron friends,” riders keep them in their own apartments, which often causes difficulties due to the obvious lack of space in Russian bedrooms. Lenta.ru tells a "disease" history of those who suffer from "motoxicosis".
